Welcome to the Dog and Hound Family

What makes the Dog and Hound different? We do.

For us, working with dogs isn't a part time hobby or side project- it's a passion we've dedicated our lives to.

Professional understanding of canine physiology, nutrition and neuro-chemistry has changed dramatically in the last 30 years and with so much conflicting information at our fingertips it can be difficult to know who to trust. That's why we're always studying, always researching, doing everything we can to give your dogs the best and most comprehensive care we can. We only advocate research backed, scientifically supported training methodologies and nutritious, species appropriate foods.

It goes without saying that dogs are welcome at our shop here in Stewarton. Our space isn't just dog friendly, it's completely dog centric. So book in with our in house behaviourist, have a chat with our nutritional experts, or simply stop by to say hello to Abby and Alba- our cheeky canine CEOs.

Katie

Canine Behaviourist

I hold a Level 3 Certificate in Canine Nutrition and health, a Level 3 Diploma in Canine Behaviour & Training, Canine FIrst Aid Certificate and I am also a Nature's Menu Certified Nutritional Expert. I offer consultations in both behaviour and diet- but consider all aspects of care, canine physiology, nutrition and lifestyle when working with your dog. My methods are compassionate, effective and scientifically backed. For me, coaching works best and is most rewarding when everyone enjoys the experience.

Jonathan

Allergy Management

For me, good nutrition is the foundation of canine well-being. I specialise in working with dogs who have allergies or a food intolerance, offering advice which takes in to account lifestyle and overall health.

I have a great deal of experience working with Bull Breeds (English and French Bulldogs in particular) who are prone to itching, ear infections, poor coat health and other symptoms of dietary sensitivities.

Product Testers

Our girls are at the heart of everything we do here at Dog and Hound HQ. Whenever we're designing or trialling a new product, they're right there to tell us what works and what doesn't. As rescue dogs, we've really been able to see the huge impact that properly balanced nutrition, care and exercise can have.

Abby and Alba inspired us to learn everything we could about canine physiology, behaviour and nutrition- and they have extremely high standards!
